Getting to Mull

Mull MapBY CAR From Glasgow M8, take the M898 across Erskin Bridge then follow the A82 towards Crainlarich. Keep following the A82 onto Taynuilt (and Oban) until you reach a sign to the LEFT for A85 to Oban. Upon reaching Oban, follow signs for the town centre, then for the Caledonian MacBrayne Ferry terminal. You must check in at least 30 mins before your ferry departs.

Travel : Calmac Ferry Craignure to Oban

BY FERRY If you are visiting Mull between April and October it is advisable to pre-book your ferry both ways, in advance. If you need to change your reservation to an earlier or later ferry they are flexible and allow changes at no extra charge (subject to availability). From Oban take the Caledonian MacBrayne Ferry to Craignure.  Reservations: 01631 566688 or website www.calmac.co.uk

Alternatively, coming by way of Glencoe, Ballachulish Bridge and Corran Ferry, you can use the Lochaline - Fishnish car ferry, since this cannot be booked, at busy times you should not travel too late in the day.

From the north, the Kilchoan the ferry takes 35 minutes to Tobermory - no bookings possible here.

BY TRAIN Take the train from Glasgow Queen Street Station to Oban, there is a short walk of 200 yds to the Calmac ferry terminal. You can cross as a foot passenger then take a local bus or taxi from Craignure Tel: 07810 666222.
